Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa is extremely essential. It’s amazing in my experience that just 30 years back the eating disorder, anorexia nervosa, was rarely spoken about and there have been very few places you could go in ways to obtain treatment for anorexia nervosa.
Just few years back I was a senior high school graduate who’d moved overseas after graduating and was home for certainly one of my first visits. I’d spoken to my closest friend, whom I hadn’t noticed in a couple of years, and I asked her to meet at our favorite restaurant that evening. I was so pleased to be able to see her and so anxious to share with her about my entire life in New York.
I walked into the restaurant and looked over to our favorite table. There was already someone sitting there and I was disappointed but I kept trying to find my friend anorexia nervosa treatment. I walked through the whole restaurant and still couldn’t find her. I returned toward our favorite table and as I acquired closer I could not believe my eyes; it was my closest friend sitting at our table. I did not recognize her because she was so thin that I did not know it was her until I was next to the table.
It had been 2 years since we had graduated and I hadn’t seen her in those couple of years but I was not prepared for what I saw. My friend was a lovely brown eyed woman; about 5’5″ tall and never appeared to stay either category, heavy or thin. She was always healthy looking and did not even remotely resemble anyone standing facing me.
She could not need weighed a lot more than 90 pounds and on her behalf 5’5″ frame she appeared as if her skin was just being stretched over her bones and that when I hugged her too tightly, she’d break like glass.
My friend was struggling with anorexia nervosa and needed help. I wanted to obtain her help right that very minute but unfortunately, she was not ready to admit that she’d a problem. I prayed she’d arrived at her senses quickly, before the deadly unwanted effects from that awful disorder had an opportunity to take her life. Treatment for anorexia nervosa came many years later and just in time, too.
She was one of the lucky ones who suffered with this disorder and is alive today and the mother of two beautiful children because she got help.
